After Meditation
« on: July 26, 2010, 03:02:01 AM »
Hi All,
When i complete meditation, I usually lay back and start observing impernamence of the body (and mind), going to whatever draws my attention next and watching the movement from the inside. When i put alot of focus into my body everything (that i can see with my eyes) tends to fade off... I hope someone here can let me know if this is right or wrong, because even though the fading off keeps me relaxed, im not sure if its vipassana/mindfulness and i dont want to end up having medical issues with my eyes.....

Thanks for reading,
And i hope theirs an experienced meditator here who can giv me some pointers.....

I guess, you are talking about your eyes getting de-focussed when you become aware of your body while keeping your eyes open. I think that is just natural. When more of your awareness goes inside, you may experience your vision getting misty or hazy.
Let's go beyond this illusion, shall we?

thanks, at least i now know im probarbly doing something right with meditation then, I just have to learn not to build the attatchment towards that state of vision but somehow use it as a tool to know im doing things right....
