Vipassana: variations in the technique
« on: June 28, 2010, 08:40:47 AM »
Not sure if this has already been discussed here (if so, please post the link); I hear that the technique of Vipassana meditation comes with many variations in different schools/traditions. The version I had learned is to focus on the body sensations and maintain equanimity towards them with the understanding of impermanance. Is this is the basic frame-work followed by almost all the major traditions? If not, what other versions exist?

Thanks in advance,
Vivek.
