Dear Crystal,

there is a very small monastery in Hubli/Karnataka.

The abbot, BUDDHAPRYIA, was one of the few monks designated to teach by Goenka - and quite soon after he started practicing Vipassana.
As he made some minor changes in the practice, he is no longer considered an official AT. I heard many good things about him, it is possible to meditate in the peaceful atmosphere even without taking robes.

If you're interested, I can mail you his contact.
I might give it a chance, too, in December.

Greetings from Dharamsala!

Wow! That's actually pretty nearby :) Are you studying at NITK? We could perhaps meet up and meditate once in a while.

Hello MEDITATOR,

This is some great news that you have given. The nearest Goenka Vipassana Centre from here is about 9 hours of drive away in Bangalore, and as such there is no local sangha/community here, so I have to basically go solo all the time.

Do mail me his contact, I'll find time to visit.

Thanks  :)

You can learn best by observing your conditioned self :) no one can teach you this since this is actual.

Hello Crystal
this is very old post, but I'm curious: Did you go and see Buddhapryia?

I am actually back in Switzerland for two years now   ;D
