Therefore, I am thinking about which methods I might use to get a similar effect? I will have to refrain from 1-point concentration practices such as meditation, prayer, yoga etc., but perhaps other things could be of use too?

Would you happen to know any excercises, and do you have personal experience with these?

I used the program in this book over 6 years ago to beat a problem with chronic insomnia

Hehe, thanks :). I am in contact with an American kundalini expert who is advising me what to do.. I think I'll be ok  :)
