What's there to be nervous about? I don't think it's your first time, is it?

No it is not. I know what awaits me...and that makes me nervous...For me it is just normal.

Actually, I'm also like that. I think nervousness is my greatest weakness, and meditation hasn't helped me with that yet. I had to drive to the airport on Sunday, and it was dark and pouring you couldn't even see the lanes. My knees were literally trembling (I'm sort of a beginner driver, if you can call driving for 1 yr and a half beginner :))

But I am optimistic. Slowly we'll get there.

Good luck!!

Maybe nervous is good...
I usually get nervous when I'm up to good things!! A concert or a party...
Usually I get nervous because I know that something big is about to happen...

Meditation has helped me a lot. I am still nervous when facing the unknown but I now look at my stress like I would look at a pimple: annoying but with little consequences.

A big pimple I must say. I am not at all "zen", but "zenner"? Definitively

Maybe when you come back (all enlightened:) ), you'll tell me the difference between zen and a zenner. I didn't get ur joke, and it's frustrating  :( I don't know much about zen.
(by the way, is ur native language French? )

Maybe you can find out more about the nervousness before you go. Intimacy with such things can make a big difference. Ask questions of it directly, "what am I nervous about", etc. Preparation can mean deeper enjoyment of the retreat.

Best wishes,

Yes I am french canadian.
zenner meant more zen...I am more zen than before I started to meditate. Zen here in the pop sense of the word: calm, stoic.
