I don't swing anymore, now I dance!
« on: March 06, 2020, 09:51:50 AM »
Hi everybody, I'm a newbie in meditation, a few weeks ago I asked here why I was swinging during meditation.
I was swinging for more than 1 month more or less every session (2 per day) and since 1 week didn't happend.

But in the last days I started to "dance", by that I mean I have contortions after 15min circa after I started.
My body slowly moves, right and left, my neck twists, a kind of dance with no music.

Does anybody experience that?

Thanks in advance!

Is it possible to stop meditating when your body starts moving and then restart?

I'm only asking out of curiosity - this is not advice.

Have you taken a selfie video to see how much you move? It could be that you are becoming more aware of your body so that you notice tiny movements. On the other hand I occasionally went through times when by body twitched repeatedly. Things happen during meditation, but they usually go away if you don't concentrate on them.
“You do not need to leave your room. Remain sitting at your table and listen. Do not even listen, simply wait, be quiet, still and solitary. The world will freely offer itself to you to be unmasked, it has no choice, it will roll in ecstasy at your feet.” Franz Kafka

I tryed but no way, I don't know but I can't go back

@stillpointdancer
I can try, I thought about that.
Those are not tiny movements or twitching, a proper "dance"
I not worried but supprised that's why I asked
