........my mind too.

How do you focus awareness without grasping the mind at the same time?

I end up straining the front of my head while building awareness, to the point that u can feel it and its uncomfortable and strained after stopping,  Im making progress with awareness building too but it would be good to reduce the counter productive mind use.

I get it most as I try for longer durations and I no longer have as much awareness as when I began for the 1st few minutes

Hi

You should look at the meditation instructions give at this link. You will find here forced concentration isn't the right way to do it. Meditation happens best when you are relaxed.

Hallo there,

Hope you are doing well.

With the vast knowledge and experience I have with meditation, I believe I can help with this.

I have a few questions to ask before I can answer your question.

First. Are you trying to focus your ATTENTION or AWARENESS on a post on the wall?

There is a huge difference between the two and specifying it will help me understand how to help.

Second. Which type of meditation are you doing?

Looking forward to your response.
Cheers :) ,

Dave, The Meditating Introvert
