Meditation Benefits and Techniques for Beginners by William Weston.

This book is an invaluable resource for anyone looking to learn about meditation. The first chapter of the book is kinda vanilla and talks about the benefits of meditation. However, the following chapters on Buddhist techniques and Hindu techniques really blew me away. It's free to read with Amazon Books Unlimited, so that's huge plus if you don't want to buy it.

I really like how the book covers a multitude of techniques, because some techniques work better than others for certain people. So far, I have only really experimented with Zen and Mindfulness (Buddhist) meditation from this book, but I plan to try some of the Hindu techniques that are outlined in Chapter 3 later this week.

I practice meditation regularly, and up until now, I thought I was meditating correctly. It turns out I wasn't quite doing it right and this book helped me get to the next level.

I've read a several books before this one, but they were more like textbooks. This one is more like an informal how to guide, and leaves you with a lot of options so you can grow on your own outside of the book.

Has anyone found books similar to this one? I am definitely looking for more books like this.

Cheers!  :D
