Meditation count down timer.. that vibrates.
« on: October 23, 2016, 05:06:53 PM »
Hello
I just found exactly, what i was looking for.. on ebay.
And i'm sharing this with you because you might
find this useful...

So... many of us use a watch, clock or phone to time our
meditations for N minutes.

I  thought it would useful to have a timer that would
vibrate,  q u i e t l y  , and not alert everyone else on the
train, bus, tram, plane or UFO .. that i was meditating.

Also.. for those who like to sneak in a 5 or 10 minute meditation
in the loo, an empty office, etc.. Then you want to be discreet
... you don't want alarms going off.

So here's a gadget that will allow you to be altogether less conspicuous:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Digital-Kitchen-Timer-Clock-Vibration-Flash-Function-Loud-Alarm-Stand-Countdown-/262648310307?hash=item3d270f2a23:g:fnIAAOSwAuZX7NFd

I would like a vibrating, count down timer on a watch....
But i haven't found that gadget yet.

:)

Most smart phones come with alarm feature that could be set vibrate only mode. As for the alarm in the loo, I totally agree. :D
Take everything I say with a grain of salt.

Actually most smartphones have several meditation countdown timer apps available for download that are variously configurable to a meditators taste.

I don't like mediating with a mobile phone.
The Iron Law of Sod  (Sod's Law) dictates that
someone always rings you when you're meditating.

In my view, it's better to switch it off, or in 'flight-mode'

Also.. i'm concerned by the recent findings that phones
give off harmful radiation that's causing spikes in neurological
conditions, including brain cancer....  not good!
(but that's another  story)
