I have it, I am reading it right now and I cannot recommend it enough. The author, Jon Kabat-Zinn, does research in psychology and developed a method of stress reduction and pain management for chronic pain sufferers and depressive people using the awareness concept of Buddhism (Mindfulness based Stress Reduction).

He is not driven by religion but by results so he is not entrenched in dogma. Yet his views are very close to Buddhism so this book will be "known turf" to anyone with a little Buddhist culture. It helped me understand more clearly what Goenka was teaching in the 10 day retreat.
