Dissolving gross sensations and tension

I've posted something to this effect before, but I'm been improving and wanted to see if anyone has had a similar experience.

I've realized I've lived most of my life suppressing emotions. This has caused mental health issues as well has a lot of tension in my face, jaw, and shoulder area. I used to be numb to it but just felt tension. So finally, I can take no more, find a PTSD therapist, learn to feel more. Starting out by getting a lot of anger and sadness I should have felt long ago.

Now the interesting thing is that once started that work, It seemed to loosen me up a little. I realized Vipassana, what I learned a few years before is extremely helpful nowl. I feel the tension, but it is less, as less of it is numb. I HATE trying to feel numb parts! But anyway, I still have a lot of tension, but now as I do the practice, I usually shake or twitch a little and cry. And that lessons the tension, and I feel so much better. When I have equanimity, something changes. That's the discharge or release. I have all sorts of popping sounds in my face and head as this stuff slowly dissolves. I am so happy I learned this practice.
