depression and anxiety
« on: May 13, 2014, 07:20:01 AM »
hi all
the depression is the past memories and anxiety is the future planning. as soon as one will be mindfull of present he/she will be far from these two. so be mindful of present. the best is to observe the breath and body sensations.

-- Happy Buddha's Birthday or Buddha Day to all for the path of enlightenment
be mindfulness...regards

So, so true. But I can never diminish what therapy did for me regarding my depression and anxiety symptoms. Getting out old grief, sadness and anger, "balanced" me out so much. After that, I could live in the now much more easily.

There seems to be an intellectual understanding, or momentary realization of Psychological Time, but being able to rest in that space can be nearly impossible for a really "screwed up" mind, like mine!

All the mediation books and meditation I did before therapy could never help me much. I think of mediation as the icing on the cake. And The cake is fairly healthy mind.
