Dhamma Anuradha Vipassana Meditation Center Sri Lanka
« on: April 26, 2014, 09:32:17 AM »
Hello everyone,

I'm new here on this forum. The reason I signed up is because I registered for a vipassana course for the first time and I thought this forum might be an inspiring community. I'm quite happy and nervous to go at the same time, and was wondering if anybody has had experiences with the Dhamma Anuradha Vipassana Meditation Center in Sri Lanka. I could not find a lot of information about it and just signed up. Are there a lot of differences between centers?

thanks a lot!

Namasté,

Martine

Hi Martine,

The meditation center you have mentioned is a Goenka meditation center. There are 3 centers in Sri Lanka. I don't know any thing about this center. However, my husband has done a retreat at another center and he said it was quite good. All three centers follow the same schedule.

You may get more information from this link.

Hello MartineW! I don't know the center you speak about, but I went to two meditative center in the Goenka tradition (in France and Suisse), and people were sympathetic in both! I don't have more info to give you, but I wanted to wish you the best for your first retreat! I hope you will bring lots of insight from it :)

Best regards! With metta

Dear Martine,

I saw you inquiry about the Dhamma Anuradha centre. Did you go there finally? I will be going there in January and I was wondering how you experienced it. I have done another Vipassana retreat in Europe already, so I am more interested in how you experienced the centre? Is there something particular to bring which is not listed in the document they send us? Was it easy to find the centre? Thanks a lot!

Best
Izabella
