Can anyone recommend me a book in which are written about getting rid of attachments?

Better to actually practice letting go than to get attached to another's words on the subject.

Easier said than done? No ... Choose something you are attached to, meditate and make it the object once mindfulness is established. Examine the feeling tone of the attachment and let it go, it's not hard but takes a little practice. It's actually quite simple: mindfully raise your awareness of the attachment then mindfully examine it and take 'I, me and mine' out of the picture ... attachment will dissolve.
