Vipassana course while pregnant - any tips?
« on: February 17, 2022, 08:16:20 AM »
Hello meditators,

I will be joining my 3rd Vipassana 10 day course next Monday and this time it's even more special since I'm pregnant.

I would like to hear any personal experiences from folks in similar situations or any advice you might have to take full advantage of this course for myself and my baby.

Thank you so much! Wishing well to all!

Kamma

Hi Kamma,

Congratulations on the coming addition to your family.

Using your own common sense and wisdom is surely the best guide. Depending upon how far along your pregnancy is your need for rest and plenty of food will vary: pay heed to what your body tells you. Don't push on if you need to rest.

Best wishes for your retreat,

Matthew

Hi Matthew,
Thank you so much for your suggestions and kind words. It seems like a wise thing to do to pay attention to what my body (and my baby!) needs.
I will share my experience afterwards :)
Peaceful winds,
Kamma
