Using mindfulness to deal with emotions
« on: October 18, 2012, 08:20:33 PM »
i think the best way to overcome a fear is to be mindful at the moment we are experience it. This means that wherever and whenever the feeling of fear, or anxiety, or paranoia kicks in, we must openly embrace it, make it ours. We must find that state of bliss we can find with embracing any state of mind through mindfulness. We must live the feelings, not run from them. I believe that the problem with us humans is that we tend to run from our deepest, most intense emotions, and we never really get to face them, or comfront them, and thus we never "acquire" them, we never make them ours, we never experience them fully and get something from them. But when we accept them gracefully and experience them, we can liberate ourselves from them. We can get a feeling of bliss if we concentrate on our sensations and achieve a higher state of consciousness while experiencing these intense emotions.

Do you think this is the way to really accept yourself and manage and dealing with emotions?

Sounds good!

Now, ask yourself what are you afraid of?   How will you really deal w/ your own fear, your own demons?   When you are being lazy, at your most vulnerable- will you be able to do what you need to, or succumb to your feeling- and do what is easy.
