hay,

i am practicing vipassana of Goenka since April 2012.

3 days ago a had some spcial pleasure during my meditation.

I did a shower , than went to bad .


than i started to do a long anapana - concentrating my breath.

and suddenly - i saw a light in my head.

and felt some pleasure of connection with something , that has some features that reminds me
an orgasme - like it is something sexuall - althoght i didn't move .

i didn't tauch my self - that was ausome and wiered and wondeful and i would like to duplicate that sensation.

does someone can explain to me what had  happened ?

i want to feel it MORE  (thats defintley craving) .

Craving it is.

"Do not let arisings become solid obstacles", my root teacher, Her Eminence Mindrolling Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche. This applies to arisings in meditation too.

You may have touched briefly on one of the lower Jhanas - or a taste thereof to "spur you" on to peace through letting go. If so I would suggest letting go of all this craving and solidifying and identifying. Try some full-body Shamatha. Non attachment to goals. Process not progress. Now not then.

lol the whole point is that you don't want to duplicate the sensation!

You want to understand that all feelings and all things are impermanent and then become unattached and equanimous because of that.

Now compare that to a wedding party.
You want a new wedding party because it was so good?   

Accepting that such wonderful things can happen is one of the arts of life. If you can calm your body-mind to accepting and realizing
     beauty is possible
then this might add to a basic trust. In the long run that is far more worthwhile than having a cosmic party now and then.

After the wedding, daily life is there again. Hopefully it is more fulfilling than it was before.

you know those experiences when meditators suffer "unbearable pain"?
well, this time you picked the other side of the coin. which is nice ... but still, you should treat this side of the coin like that side of the coin: observe with unshakeable equanimity. watch the sensation come and go, like a butterfly passing through the room. and then go on with your meditation.

Yes, my dear.

That is about thirty years ago.  On a retreat. A retreat where every person was in his/her own room. I felt energy rushing through my body like the best orgasms I had had in my life. Just like you I did not touch myself.

To me it did not feel so much as connecting to something. It felt to me more like allowing a body-mind process to take its natural course. A body-mind process that had started because I had been meditating in a good way and under good guidance.

My comparing this to one's own wedding party is not just a joke.
You came into contact with something that is very powerful and very worthwhile. Something that has her own dynamics. Just like someone of the beautiful sex. She might be exciting. When you know her longer, she might be comforting. She might take you to places where you would not have dared to go before. And just as with a life partner: if you want to order her around, things go wrong. (I never tried, I must say. I am keeping a distance toward her.     I am just being romantic here, and making an educated guess.  )

So you say you came into contact with something. Please, be in that contact with respect. And yes, enjoying it can perfectly be part of respect. Joy is fundamental in a wedding.

So here I am again with a preaching tone. Sigh.
