Knee pain and air conditioning

My knee hurts a lot over long periods of sitting crosslegged.hence is it ok to make slight adjustments in adhittana.also is it ok to meditate in an air conditioned room.?any specific exercises to aid you in sitting long periods?

Hi Vikram,

You can try sitting on a chair (without using the back support) to have less strain on your knees. And/or alternate sitting practice with walking practice. About the air conditioning, i see nothing wrong with it.

Vikram,

The only thing I would add to Masauwu's comment is that in very long sitting periods it is beneficial to spend 5 - 10 minutes walking meditation every now and then to keep the circulation going and reduce discomfort.
