kcgovil,

Even the Buddha aged, wrinkled, lost strength and died. Vipassana doesn't aim to deliver one from old age and death, but in fact allows one to acknowledge their fundamental existence, and realize the futility of escape from such phenomena. With this realization, the attachment to life and the aversion to death, dissipates and one is freed from the mental bondage that is the true cause of suffering.

What matters is not whether a person has to be physically lifted to be taken to the toilet but rather if there is a smile on his face despite such a condition.

Warmly,

Purify your mind"

kcgovil, Vipassana practice undoes the kinks in one's psyche and makes one more capable of dealing with the vicissitudes of life. That has been the experience of many practitioners. Apart from that, the main reason for a novice ending up in trouble is when he mixes the technique with other techniques he has already been practising. Perhaps, you have some specific case(s) in mind which you want to discuss?
Let's go beyond this illusion, shall we?

Goenkaji is pretty old now, he probably needs help going to the toilet.
