Talking feels like so much energy wasted...like want to use minimum words possible...does anyone else go through this?

Noble Silence comes to mind.

I once suggested to close the forum for a Noble Silence day (any agreed day) so to REMIND US ALL to try and integrate it into the day to day practice. No one here could see what benefit this would bring to this Sangha, and for that reason was voted against. This forum is to serve The Practice if you ask me. Remembering, Reminding, Supporting!

If we had voted yes and integrated it into this community by now many would have benefited from it. Practice makes perfect. Most of us dont live in a protected Retreat or Monastic environment and we get sidetracked easily. We only have this Sangha to Remind us so we can Remember. But we chose not to do so and therefore we linger instead of integrate what benefits all.

We are doing one good thing and that is the weekly sangha skype sitting. There is more we can do to strenghten the practice in this Sangha. Many here are floating around in the wild waters of Samsara, some obviously (like me) and some very much skilled in hideing this fact behind the intelectual knowledge of "buddhism". In both ways Ignorance and Greed ravis us alive.

Everyone to its own!

May we all find the wisdom and see beyond whats layed before the senses

I guess there are no easy answers... Service may be a form of Practise too..

The dedication to serving ..keeping the forum on is also wonderful . It maybe inspiring so many people to sit for meditation regularly and keep walking on the path in which case ....the objective of noble silence is met automatically..

Hey the skype weekly meeting is wonderful...can i also join? How?

Hi Niza, at the moment yes, only Sundays, but as interest grows we will expand that as each person is comfortable to join and session times around the world get established.

Hang around an get to know everyone a bit, and share your practice and advice as you see fit.

love
