While this is a beautiful metaphor about struggling with your thoughts in the starting stages, at first it reminded me about my old problem with mosquitos. :D - What are you doing buzzing in my ears, can`t you see i`m meditating? Where were you all day, couldn`t you buzz in my ears then? Why start now? Be gone, pests! :D

While not that different from lingering thoughts or feelings or unwanted sensory input, they are an opportunity. An opportunity to look for the 4 noble truths and the 3 characteristics in them. What is this that is happening? What does it create in me? Why and how is this discomfort created? Who am i? Oh look, that thing is happening there, and i am here. Nothing is happening to me, i am not there. And a minute later it stops happening anyway. And so on...

It`s a lesson i`ve yet to learn, but i know it`s a lesson. ;)
