I`ve just found out about this teacher, felt like sharing in case there are others who didn`t know about her. Short sample fragment of a dhamma talk below, and a more extensive collection of videos here. I really enjoyed her clarity and kindness from the few videos i`ve been watching.

I'm going to check out theses stages of happiness she talks about. I really find it is good to have a little grin on almost all the time. I actually find it amusing now when I react to something, there is that moment when you go "Look at the little self go!" Like watching a baby take it's first steps "Is that cute, Andy is angry again, oh!"

Ayya Khema was one of the founders of a marvellous retreat centre called Wat Buddha Dhamma which is out in the bush about 90 minutes north of Sydney. It is in the middle of a national park, with marvellous birdlife and a truly beautiful Sala (meditation hall). My first retreats were taken there, back in the 1980's, when Phra Khantipalo, the English monk, was teacher-in-residence.  Have a look at the gallery pics. I am considering going back up there later this year to renew my practice.
