I really liked this (sorry couldn't work out embedding the video.:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8x73UW8Hjk#t=74

PS video embedding doesn't work with https, just remove the s from the url so it reads http:// and it's all good

It does work with long youtube urls and https not short ones, yet. There is an upgrade to the mod I'll be installing soon that copes with short youtube urls and https :) - Matthew

That was awesome! He could very well be talking about Adam and Eve. They should not have eaten that forbidden apple from the tree of knowledge and became self aware.

Didnt know where to put this or even if I should, but I was amused. In my sittings I use my cellphone as a timer. I had a stronger, deeper sitting than normal, had quite a separation from thought, lost all expectations, and generally felt blissful. This felt like it went on a very long time, far longer than in the past. I discovered I must have bumped my phone when the cat rubbed up against me as it sometimes does, as the timer was stuck on pause. Checking the clock, what I'd planned to be a 25 Min sitting ended up being close to an hour.

Maybe enlightenment is often by accident :D

What'll a mosquito do in a zendo?
It tries to annoy. Anyway, I hope in a mindful way.

"A Buddhist goes up to a hotdog vendor and says 'Make me one with everything'."

I thought that was the joke.  ;)

If buddhism was a brand with a slogan, like nike - just do it, it would be buddhism - no self, no problem.

Oh dang, poor Stanley.

I`ve often got this in my mind, I read it in some thread a while back from Matthew, where, when he gets asked about his hobbies, he`d reply, "I like doing nothing, thanks for asking." :-D So hilarious I love it.

Good to see the fun thread getting some attention. All too easy to be overly serious :)

... je suis perdu

Chaque Fois on se regarde,
Le Passage du temps s’arrete.
En tombant dans tes yeux,
Je me suis trouvé, perdu.
Et quand Je me reveille,
Regardant ton visage.
Si beau que Je suis choqué,
Le passage du temps s’arrete.
