Meditation Research

Dear Teachers, Colleagues, Friends, and Students,

Can you help us? We know you're busy, but we need experienced meditators for an important project.

As you probably know, scientific research on mindfulness and meditation is growing. Nevertheless, the scientific community still has a poor understanding of meditation's impact on people. Some of the most important aspects of meditation remain misunderstood or ignored.

The link below connects to an anonymous survey that asks about your background, meditative practice, and understanding of mindfulness. It takes about 45 minutes to complete. If you are willing to help, please follow the link below when you have the time to complete the survey. Please also forward this email to any local friends, colleagues, etc. whom you know to be involved in meditative practice.

We are incredibly grateful for your time and your contributions to this project. We would be eager to discuss the project findings with you, if you're interested, once we have completed our analyses.

Namaste,

I've participated.
They scared me with that "you should complete the whole questionare in one setting" I thought it would be very lenghty. It's not.
I think it's well done.
By next year or the year after I will be making a research on Vipassana meditation for my Neurophisiology course. I hope I can get the help of Goenka retreats or the Buddhist Union here in Portugal for some contacts of meditators in my area, and that some people from Portugal join the forum.
I think meditation has many benefits and that they should be studied.
