Hi Sangha
I suppose you do not know Richard Pachman.
Richard Pachman, known as the “Czech Vangelis”, or “Czech Jarre”, is the most famous esoteric music composer, keyboard player and singer in the Czech Republic.

I like his music

Raga Shivranjani on Bansuri (Indian Bamboo Flute)

The bansuri just blows me away. ON video like this its hard to get it. Unless you really sit back and absorb

Out of all the of gigs I've been to, it was one in brimingham (UK) where I almost had a head exploding natural high as a result of the guy playing the bansuri. HIs name a mystery to this day, he played with Usted tari khan and Hans raj hans.

Didn't think it was possible for music to effect me like that. Rushing sensation, surging through my body, up my spine in to my head. I could ride the sensation.

Very very nice Ivana - I would like to hear more of his music... did listen till the end and am still recovering.

Thomas - if you like bansuri I am sure you have heard Hariprasad Chaurasia and Ronu Mazumdar - I heard Hariji yesterday in a live concert and the whole auditorium was in a spell.

lucky you! where did you see that? It looks like you're from India - I spent a year over there - but didn't get the oportunity to see any live classical indian music. I've heard Kolkata is good for music. Is this right? I always found it hard to find out about events.

I have some chaurasia on tape cassette - but no tape cassette player - need to upgrade.

Both the original and house remix of this are great. Most people never took in the lyrics:

When I was young it seemed
That life was so wonderful
A miracle, oh it was beautiful, magical
And all the birds in the trees
Well they'd be singing so happily
Joyfully, oh playfully watching me

But then they sent me away
To teach me how to be sensible,
Logical, oh responsible, practical
And they showed me a world
Where I could be so dependable
Clinical, oh intellectual, cynical.

There are times when all the world's asleep
The questions run too deep
For such a simple man
Won't you please,
Please tell me what we've learned
I know it sounds absurd
But please tell me who I am

Oh watch what you say
Or they'll be calling you a radical,
A liberal, oh fanatical, criminal
Oh won't you sign up your name
We'd like to feel you're acceptable
Respectable, presentable - a vegetable!

But at night when all the world's asleep
The questions run too deep
For such a simple man
Won't you please,
Please tell me what we've learned
I know it sounds absurd
But please tell me who I am

The Logical Song written by Roger Hodson, performed by SuperTramp first then a house remix by Scooter:

Yes I am from Delhi and it has a vibrant music scene. If you need some mp3 of hindustani classical flute I can share - just pm me.

Boards of Canada, one of my favourite songs by them:

Boards of Canada - In A Beautiful Place Out In The Country

Their earlier work is full of references to cults and stuff like subliminal messaging, I believe this song is a reference to the Branch Davidians.

Sound, so connecting!   :D

I'm rooming with someone who often plays romance on guitar, Ivana, it's a beautiful song.  The Logical Song is catchy, too, and those lyrics are true.  Really great.

HIROMI'S SONICBLOOM - Deep Into The Night

If you're looking to expand your taste.  The tensions are necessary for the release. It's about trying to create a beautiful sound out of pretty much nowhere, letting it flow through whatever form it wants.. so "wrong" notes are excused.
