I like it, he speaks very clear to me.

When I was younger, I was like a lot of Americans.  I was threatened by anything connected to a religion that was not my own.   A college class taught by professors studying the physiological effects of meditation and Zinn's book "Full Catastrophe Living"  got me into meditation.

I would love to recommend such a book to non-meditator friends who ask me about meditation, but it is needlessly verbose and large.

I like Zinn.  He has positive aspects to his style of communication, but he lacks discipline in organizing and presenting his thoughts.

Agreed. He seems to be a bit all over the place, seems a bit stressed kind of   this is exactly how I talk to people when explaining something I believe or feel to be very important    I too go all over the place.

Other than that he sure said some good things especially "Meditation! Its not what you think" LoL

Hi Sangha
I am just reading his Coming to Our Senses: Healing Ourselves and the World Through Mindfulness. I remember when I came from Mauritius where I did scuba diving. I showed underwater pictures to people who did not do  scuba diving and I was surprised that they were not interested about it. I think who does scuba diving knows about I am talking. Freedom of moving in space, hearing only your breathing, your body with touch of warm water and around a lot of colourful fish.

I reserved in library his other two books, I hope I will have enough time to read them.
