hindi chanting -- may all be happy
« on: January 11, 2011, 02:52:09 PM »
does anyone have the chanting by goenka or someone else that you hear at end of some of the meditation sessions?  this is after he says in pali may all beings be happy 3 times and students say we agree.

This is the same chant sung by others:

Vipassana Metta Chant (Sabaka Mangal Hoye Re): Buddhist Chant of India

You might find this helpful.

It is nice. I think to hear the version at 10days Vipassana course could be better than Goenka's chanting.
Thanks Crystal

Hi Crystal -  can you send me the link too.

I have CDs of Tibetian chanting by Lama Tashi (of the Grammy fame) have seen him live also and would recommend that to others. A lot of stuff is available on You-Tube. Its very different than the Hindi chanting we hear in Vipassana retreats and works well for me.

You can find a torrent online of Goenka's discourses including his chanting on the pirate bay, just type in goenka
