Long Term Vipassana Residential Centre in Europe ?
« on: February 04, 2011, 03:57:46 PM »
Hi

Does anyone know of a residential community where you can practice Vipassana in Europe ? (I know Thailand/Myanmar are good, but I feel that I can't be too far from home -UK- also).

thanks

How long is "long term"? I came across a Theravada community in Wiltshire UK recently. I even spoke with one of their folks on the phone. Their community supports 2 monasteries. You can find out more here: http://www.aukana.org.uk/

Dhamma padhanna is the Vipassana long course centre for all of Europe, it's located in the UK:

RF - your best bet is  to look for a staff position somewhere at an established centre.
