A beautiful slow and winding story of a young man who had become a monk as a child, and who now asks himself what world to renunciate to find truth.
The film is shot in Ladakh, and most actors are locals - though not the main characters.
There are some explicit love scenes in the film. If you want to avoid that, you could look at the ending, which is more or less like an epilogue. The monk/husband is spoken to by an apparition of his wife, that he left to go back to the monastry. It this moment that can be seen at:
