During August I will be on retreat. I won't be reading the forums.

Crystal and Joey will be looking after the house.

Enlightenment is not something which happens while I'm sitting cross-legged
and while watching my bad breath because in reality there is no "I" who is sitting
cross-legged nor "I" who has the bad breath. In reality there is my
Seiza bench and a bloody good toothpaste!

This retreat will be a partial one in that I have to be available two days a week for a commitment. However, even those two days I will be limited in outside engagements.

The other five days will be no TV, radio, reading, internet, socialising or other activities. Concentration on meditation and mindfulness in action. Walks in silence, eating wholesome self prepared food and plenty of sleep.

Pretty simple.

Come on, admit it, you gonna spend the month focusing frantically at the nostrils !   Grin

Dear Matthew,

Whenever on retreat, I feel special, as if I am undertaking the most important task of life. Even though it is you who is going on retreat, a part of me can't help but feel joyful. All the best my friend! Me and Joey will provide tender care to this lovely plant that you have grown and which is giving shade to so many.

Cheers,
Crystal Palace
