Dhamma message from Latino Rapper
« on: Saturday 11 September 2010, 09:02 AM »

B-Real.

That's the name of the guy below. He is a Latino rapper and I was watching one of his videos, and it struck me that his name has a deep and profound Dhamma message. Now I doubt this guy is enlightened (after a quick research I found that he had worked in songs such as "Back The F**k Up", "Xplosion", "Deadly Assassins", "F**k Tony Montana", and "How Hi Can U Get", indicating fearfully high levels of negativity and in one of his music videos, he surrounds himself with guns, takes lives, promotes the practice of robbery, surrounds himself with scantily clad women, and propagates the use of intoxicants to get 'hi') but all that aside, knowingly or otherwise, he has hit upon one of the most awesome teachings of the Buddha: to be real - with oneself and others.

Be Real. Think about it.
