Letter from a young monk [pages 1–4]
« on: Tuesday 11 November 2008, 02:45 PM »
Hi everyone!

Inspired by Aram's posts on the Ordination thread, I dug out a letter from a young monk called Harsh. His parents scanned this and posted it on the net many years ago. I can't find it online anymore, but I still have a copy on my laptop. I hope it's ok to post the letter in its entirety here.

It was an inspiration to me at a time when I myself was thinking of donning the robes. I still find it a joy to read and often wonder what became of Harsh and whether he's still in robes somewhere.

Enjoy!

With metta,
Dave

What is it you seek in those letters is the very torn in your own eye. Seek no further!

When Dave left the forum I believe the software deleted these. I will try to recover them from him.
