SN Goenka's "The Discourse Summaries"
« on: Monday 08 October 2007, 10:17 PM »
This is a written copy of SN Goenka's actual discourses (nightly talks) during his ten-day course.  It can be easily found on the Dhamma.org website, as well.

I heard tell of an audio recording of the same and will post it if I can track that down.  That chanting should bring back many memories.   ;)

This gets us into an audio category but:
Dohas by SN Goenka
It's not the discourses (not available in English) but many of his chants are available for download!

Hi all

For the audio, you should be able to order them from http://www.pariyatti.org (North America) or www.dhammabooks.com (Australia).  You can also order a number of group-sit CDs that include an introductory chant, instruction, silence, closing chant and metta.

As meditational aids, I use a number of sutta recitations and group-sit CDs by Goenkaji.  It aids to create a good meditative ambience and they also act as an effective time piece.
Kind regards

Ben

I was just about to follow this link when my browser (Chrome - the best) warned me that I should not follow this link because its destination contains elements from the site 74.95.203.233, which is a known malware site  :o

Matthew, can you advise us on this question.

Tom,

If you follow the links on the post I linked to you can download either 1) All the video's individually or 2) the soundtrack only.

There is no malware on those links to my knowledge .... if you clicked the piratebay link then this is listed as malicious because it's a torrent site. Anything you download make sure you scan with a quality antivirus.

Warmly,

Matthew
