HAW!!!

I'm about to finish "How to Meditate" by Lawrence Leshan.  Haven't read much on meditation itself, but I'd recommend this book to anyone wanting to.  There wasn't actually much "how" to it, mostly just interesting facts about meditation, stated clearly and plainly, from a more secular perspective than one might usually get.  



Going to start "A Short History of Nearly Everything" by Bill Bryson after that.  Kinda' excited

Scientific papers about Terminalia catappa antibacterial, antifungal properties and it's toxicity to aquatic life. I am preparing my own home made Catappa extract but not sure how much is too much to dose into my fish tanks to create healthy acidic black water Eco-system without killing all the inhabitants.

I am struggling with Seven Pillars of Wisdom. I seem to be trending towards slow torture by reading archaic english literature. I do really enjoy the craft of it though; and I am very interested in the history it includes as well.

I've read a bunch of interesting books:

Buddha's Brain http://www.amazon.com/Buddhas-Brain-Practical-Neuroscience-Happiness/dp/1572246952/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1307444562&sr=1-1 is a very nice book which ties mindfulness to psychology and neuroscience. It explains that we are magnet for bad news and a lot of suffering that we experience is caused by ourselves, by throwing "the second dart". It also discusses the illusion of self.

I also read this book on NLP http://www.amazon.com/Live-Your-Dreams-Reality-Catch/dp/1412047099, just to understand what it's all about. I think there are some good ideas in there, but there is a large part i'm skeptical about.

Happiness hypothesis http://www.amazon.com/Happiness-Hypothesis-Finding-Modern-Ancient/dp/0465028020/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1307445549&sr=8-1 was interesting, but I can not completely relate / agree with conclusions there.
